Project Details

Description

MGT270 is the first full 10 week class a DePaul undergraduate takes in the study of entrepreneurship. It is open to any student at DePaul, any year with no prerequisite. This results in a great diversity in this class due to the wide range of majors. The students work on a business idea over the 10 weeks and use tools like the Idea Napkin and Business Model Canvas to perfect their idea. Students work in teams of 6-7 students and then do a full power point pitch presentation as a final project. Judges evaluate the teams on the basis of the quality of the idea and the quality of the presentation. Each student on the winning team receives a $1,000 scholarship which creates a real-world competitive environment for this team project.
