About
Michael joined DePaul Law in June 2025 as the senior reference and faculty services librarian at the Rinn Law Library. In this role, he manages and oversees reference services for law faculty, students and all library patrons. He also coordinates the law library’s faculty liaison program, works closely with DePaul Law journal editorial boards and faculty to manage publication schedules, helps prepare and deliver research presentations for law school courses and seminars, and ensures the library reference team provides the highest quality service while operating efficiently.
Prior to joining DePaul, Michael spent nearly 20 years at Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps), beginning as an associate librarian and advancing to director of research in the library. There, he provided research assistance for attorneys and clients across multiple disciplines, including law, finance, tax and intellectual property.
Michael earned his Master of Library and Information Science from Dominican University (formerly Rosary College) and his JD from the University of Kansas. He lives in the Horner Park area of Chicago with his wife and their three sons. He is committed to the Vincentian principles of compassion, the dignity of all individuals, the acceptance of diverse cultures and experiences, and making education broadly accessible.
