Personal profile
Research Interests
Chronic diseases such as obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes disproportionately harm the health of Black and Hispanic communities. Dr. Schober conducts social epidemiology research examining chronic disease and health disparities in Chicago and nationally. He also conducts research on health behaviors that protect against chronic disease such as healthy eating, physical activity, and sleep; this aspect of his research involves developing and testing health interventions at the individual, school, and community levels. Dr. Schober’s health intervention research involves active collaboration with public health practitioners, researchers, and DePaul students.
